Federal Reserve data methodology
Official sources
Meeting dates, statements, implementation notes, votes, dissents, press-conference pages and transcripts come from the Federal Reserve Board. EFFR observations and transaction volume come from the New York Fed Markets Data API.
Deterministic calculations
Target midpoints, decision changes, EFFR corridor placement and spreads are calculated from stored integer basis points. Statement comparisons normalise typography and whitespace before retaining exact added, removed or modified source clauses and offsets.
Meeting assessments
Initial reports use the verified statement, implementation note, decision, vote and deterministic comparison. Final reports require an official or reconciled transcript. Generated assessments reference persisted evidence and require administrator approval before publication.
